My most memorable childhood anecdote was when i fell down while playing the swing one day (i was abt 4-5yrs old, in kindergarten). My mum had left me at the playground while she did her marketing that day. i was playing the swing when my hairband dropped to the sandy ground (those were the old days). Without getting off the swing, i bent to pick up my hairband and i fell, face first into the sandy ground. i did not know i had injured the whole of my right (or was it left) cheek and just cried badly. My mum was horrified when she found me. I thought i would be scarred for life but luckily, my mum went to ask a TCM doctor whom advised her to use the inside of a banana skin on my face. My cheek gradually became ok after much use, luckily.

My most memorable childhood anecdote was about an incident that my dad told me when I was older..When I was around 5, 6 years old, my dad and I were waiting for traffic lights to turn green before crossing the road. When the lights were in our favor, my dad grabbed some other girl’s hands and crossed the road without me. I was left standing at the opposite end of the road. I still remembered the funny incident til now.

So when I was little, I remember always dressing up as an adult xD
I would put on my mom’s high heels and strut around with her old dresses. It was fun and I felt so mature~! Haha but as I got older, I started to lose interest. I still wish I could be that young and dress carefreely, but that’s something I remember best in my childhood. ^_^

During my primary school days in the mid 1970s, I always wore the same old uniform for 3-consecutive years! When I reached P6, the skirt was outgrown and too short for me. In fact, the threading eventually came off and the edging of the skirt started to roll up by itself which looked like a “love letter”. I always felt very embarrassed to put on that uniform to school but I had no choice as it was the one and only school uniform I had. Fellow classmates always teased me or depised me because of my miserable uniform. At that young age, I would consider myself sensible to understand that my family was too poor to afford to buy me a new set of uniform. My feelings and esteem were badly hurt by my classmates’ teasing and unkind remarks. I would say that my primary school life was utterly miserable. I was an introvert and always being bullied by the girls in class. I always had to put up with their pushing, kicking and all sorts of terrible remarks. Things seemed bad and somehow I made it through!! Thankfully, things got better and better and EVEN BETTER as I grew up and became an adult =) I learnt a valuable lesson in life: Things may look bad but it is NOT going to stay like that forever. Be patient, Things will get BETTER soon. Hang In There!!

The adults used to tell us if we are good kids we will get xmas presents during xmas. True enough every xmas we will be a good kid and sleep early so that when we wake up on xmas morning there will be presents under the xmas tress for us. Haha as we grow older we know that Santa Claus don’t exist in this world.

When I was younger, I remember very clearly how my cousins and I would crawl under the huge drains only to be covered with dirt and mud, encounter rats and cockroaches, and also end up smelling literally like trash. Also, there was once when all adults were out except for the maid, and we just started playing with water from the hose like all hell broke loose. It was really the time of my life, up till now I am still proud to tell my friends how I crawled under drains because I am very sure not many girls would be game for it. Sometimes I find it amusing how someone so boyish as a kid can grow up to be feminine. I am one such example.

1)My childhood is not a perfect one, my parents were very busy as a hawker. I am being taken care by my aunty who passed away a few years back. I used to be jealous of my younger sister who is not a spectales user, popular among boys, and an apple in the eye to my mother. I used to wonder why from the same parents and i look so much different from my sister. Thankful to all those, contact lense, rebonding and moisturer, our relationship improve as we grow up and i tend to treasure my loves ones more even since my aunty left me.

1) My most memorable childhood experience was trying to make my little cousin (who was 4 years younger than me…around 5 at that time) believe that he was actually a girl because he had big eyes and his hair was pretty long considered to the other boy cousins we had at that time…and he was 5 so he believed all his “jie-jies” ehehe! we raided our aunt’s make up table and made him wear a dress, braid his hair and put on red lipstick XD even up till now during family gatherings we laugh so hard when we talk about it:) ~

When i was 5 years old, i asked my brother what causes thunder. He told me that it’s caused by the clouds banging together. I actually believe in it until i studied about weather in science! I was a stupid fool.
